I did alot of searching when I first decided to do this. It seemed unanimous that CP pistons had the better finish and the machine work was supposedly better. I have trust issues with Wisecos because of the coating incident (wether it was their fault or not), but thats just me. It was a toss up between these and JE and I figured since the VQ35s were having alot of success with these pistons, I figured I'd give them a shot for ours. SGP swears by them in their VQ35's. I'm not trying to build some 800+hp montster car here, I just wanted a nice large margin of error. I'm all about building it for 8-900hp and only using 4-500hp =).I was unaware they were offered in different alloys. I believe they're 4032, but I might be mistaken. I'm no engineer or metalurgist to know the difference really. yes, the CR is 8.5-1 and the bore is 87.5mm
